WHERE DO I BEGIN?

To me this woman is an inspiration to us all. Heres why. Excuses are no option to her, age is just a number to her, I’ve never met anyone more genuinely grateful than her, positive energy is all I feel when I’m around her, every single soldier in THE ARMY DC has nothing but amazing things to say about her, and when I’m 50, I aspire to be super hungry and mega sassy just like her!
No it’s not the fact she’s 50 (however friggin amazing this is in it’s self) but no matter what age, this person shows EVERYTHING we represent at THE ARMY DC. At The Army DC our motto is to “Be bold, be brave and be you!”, this is exactly what our September member of the month portrays week after week. I remember her coming to our Beginners class on her own, having no idea what to expect, and worrying about being the oldest dancer in the room, but once she knew just how much it really doesn’t matter here, GIRL she absolutely smashed it!!
Every single week she comes to class with the biggest smile on her face ready to kill it, her positive attitude is infectious and she is incredibly supportive and encouraging to every single dancer in class. No only that, sometimes I don’t even see this kind of hunger and passion to grow in dance from my teens who are just starting out in the industry so to see not only a Mother but also soon to be super-woman in a full time job putting herself first, doing something for herself, never saying no, always actively looking to improve, always showing support to the others in the room, always making us feel loved and appreciated, forever laughing inside and outside the studio. The list goes on to say just how happy and proud I am to have you here at THE ARMY DC.
Who cares how old you are, or how experienced you are, if you a beaming with confidence, that overpowers EVERYTHING and EVERYONE!
I remember so clearly back in SUMMER HEELS WORKSHOP, there was a room full of 60 dancers both intermediate and beginners, and I asked for just ONE dancer in the room to freestyle on their own, and she went for it above all and she was incredible! That was the moment I noticed how much her confidence has sky rocketed! It is so inspiring to see how much you have grown since you started here at The Army DC, when you first came to class, you would stand at the back, but you have come out of your shell massively, introduced us all to the amazing human being you are and it has been a pleasure getting to know you not only as a dancer but as an amazing inspirational woman.

Viki at the start: “The class was great last night. Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to dance again. What a talented group and so much energy ?.”
Viki now: “Thanks Beckie. Great class last night. I can’t tell you how much of a privilege it is to be with such a talented group of dancers and such an inspiring choreographer. Can’t quite believe I’m there sometimes! Xxxx”

Viki – You are one of the loveliest women I have met and I am so grateful to have you as part of The Army DC family. Thank you for being a part of The Army DC and for choosing us to hep you get back into dance again.

We love you Queen Viki!
