I remember so clearly when he first came to class, he was shy, reserved and came to ‘Beginners Hip Hop and Heels’ having zero idea of his potential. As soon as I saw him dance, I knew he was far from a beginner, and I was instantly excited about him being part of The Army DC. He told me ‘I was kicked out of college because they said I wasn’t good enough’… haha… that was just a no from me. Ryan has more talent than he knew what do with, so seeing his potential we threw him into Pro-team immediately.
Over the past few months, Ryan has come out of his shell massively and has put his true self out there for the world to see in bright colours with his beaming personality, and really is one of the most passionate, genuinely (hilarious!) members of The Army DC. The energy he brings, the positivity he shows, the encouragement towards others, the desire to want to grow every single class, the commitment and honesty… Every week he comes into class with an amazing attitude and a huge smile on his face. This boy never fails to make every combination his own, leaving everyone speechless whilst inspiring those around him and he doesn’t even know it! To break down all the barriers he thought he had, to show us all who he is now, is a blessing to witness and we couldn’t be more proud, especially being one of the most humble, genuine people I have ever met. His excitement to learn and improve the new combo’s every week (which he absolutely SLAYS btw), and the appreciation after every single class makes ME so grateful to have you as a part of the team.
You listen to my advice in class, you act on in outside of class, you take everything on board and challenge yourself in performances every week, with noticeable improvements in your confidence and freestyle. You just get better and better.
Ryan – You have grown so much in the last couple of months. Everyone loves watching you perform and you make us all feel incredibly inspired week after week, I can’t wait to see you grow even more than you already have!
