This member of the month is someone that has become incredibly involved with The Army DC in the last few months, from auditioning and successfully getting into our upcoming January show, to doing both Reading and London classes… it’s the one and ONLY Gerard
Gerard, your confidence when you dance, as well as in yourself is just shining through all the time and we hope that light within never fades. From the moment you walk in (and finish your late laps! haha) to the moment you leave, you are filling the room with love and positivity.
We watch you on a weekly basis making everyone in the room laugh, ask questions that some may want to ask but aren’t confident enough, support your fellow dancers, as well as support any newbies that walk into the studio for the first time. You make an obvious effort to ensure they are comfortable from start to finish, whilst continuing to get involved where you can with the rest of the class.
Whilst your energy is certainly infectious and you are always there for everyone and lending a hug where needed, we have also enjoyed seeing your more vulnerable side. Which has just added to you being more personable, connecting to everyone on a deeper level and we have major respect for that and YOU!
We also can’t forget to mention your freestyles… they have honestly blown everyones socks off and we mean EVERYONE!! Your ability to think on the spot and connect to the music as well as the dancers around you, whilst free-styling has improved immensely and it really is one of our highlights of the week.
During our last workshop you said you were proud of yourself for standing at the front during filming and we want you to know WE ARE PROUD OF YOU TOO! You really have come a long way and we know this is just the start for you! We can feel your passion for dance and we see how much effort you are putting into it and we thank you for being such an asset to this dance company.
Love all the Team here at The Army Dc xx
