Septembers member of the month is… DEXTER!
Where to start with this boy…
Dexter is one of THE MOST friendly, kind-hearted and enthusiastic boys you will ever meet. He always thanks every teacher after class and is keen to get to know new people in the room. His smile never fails to light up the room.
Dexter and his siblings Kim & Tim started dancing with The Army DC and immediately made an impact with the support they showed to every individual in the room. With little dance experience Dexter began his journey and took in every piece of feedback that different teachers gave him.
His growth recently has been insane. From starting with the basics of Hip Hop Foundations (Thursdays 7-8pm) he applied these to our regular Hip Hop classes on Monday nights (6.30-7.30pm). We can see the groves and the footwork he learnt in our foundations class coming through both in choreography and his freestyle. His musicality has improved so much from afro classes (thursdays 6-7pm) that he was recently selected to join pro-team! He is always feeling first and has a way of making others feel happy when they watch him dance,
He recently stepped up to help re-teach some choreography for our show in January (click here to book: https://fatso.ma/WjMs).
His attitude within and outside classes has allowed him to improve and his gratitude never goes unnoticed.
